Access to CS OTE

System CS OTE is safeguarded by using an access certificate (for authentication) and a signature certificate (for digital signing of transactions). Each user shall have the own certificate for access to system OTE. According The Business terms 2011 any user could choose among three companies which provide the certificate services:

Any future user of system CS OTE acquires the necessary number of security features for access to system CS OTE (and their installation, if applicable) from the certificate company at his own cost.

1. Access certificates issued by Logica Czech Republic s.r.o.

OTE Certification Authority is outsourced (Logica Czech Republic, a.s.). The service is based on the purchase order for subjects that concluded the contract with OTE and applied for the access to the system.

Logica Czech Republic s.r.o. secures certificate service for OTE company via in-house certification authority (OTECA). Logica Czech Republic s.r.o. ensures the certificates for any company which has or will have the agreement with OTE.

Future users fill an identification (registration) number (hereinafter ID USER, UID) into the order for Logica company. The identification number is assigned by OTE registration department on the basen of a filled form for new user registration. The form is available to download in section Electricity Agreements or Gas Agreements (in section 2 reg. form type "C" (DOC 106 KB), on behalf of each person which will have access to CS OTE.

Any CS OTE user receives from Logica two certificates and one personal electronic tokens (access and signature tokens) deposited in the issued security feature. Logica notifies OTE about the newly issued certificates, whereby OTE shall file them in CS OTE and inform users.

Test system - Sandbox
For access to the test system Sandbox any user need a test certificate named OTECA-TEST.

The time validity of certificate

The validity of Logica digital certificates extends for two calendar years since their
assignment. The certificates must be renewed prior to the expiry of their validity. The users shall verify the validity date of certificate according this manual:

OTE shall notify the user via an automatically generated electronic message (e-mail) that the validity of the certificate is to expire in 30 days; the electronic message is resent 10 days prior to the expiry date.

The certificate renewal before the expire date
A user can use an automatic renewal process.doc (715 KB), whether it asks for certificate renewal before one expires. A procedure how to renew a certificate can be found in user manual.

The certificate renewal after the expire date
After expiry date of certificate a user shall proceed according to following steps:

A user shall fill the purchase order where fill in all user identification numbers (UID, UD USER) for renewal.

The purchase order shall be delivered via mail to company Logica Czech Republic, s.r.o.

A user will get new certificate(s) with expiry date two years via postal service
The service will be charged by Logica Czech Republic, s.r.o.

2. Access certificates issued by První certifikační autorita, a.s.

První certifikační autorita, a.s. (First Certification Authority) is the second company allowed by Bussiness Terms which provides certificate service in the Czech and Slovak Republics. Any future CS OTE user shall acquire features which ensures electronic signature, authentication and secure communication with CS OTE. Ordering, issuance, price terms are described on website www.ica.cz.

In case of První certifikační autorita, a.s. user shall generate a public part of certificate from an acquired certificate. User sends the public part of certificate to email address registrace@ote-cr.cz (for access on elektricity market) or registrace-plyn@ote-cr.cz (for access on gas market).
