In connection with the legislative amendments resulting from Act No. 165/2012 Coll., on supported energy sources, as part of the transposition of RED Directive, a credit system will be introduced with effect from 1 July 2026. This forms part of the System for Records of Renewable Energy Use in Transport (EVOZED), operated by OTE, a.s., the market operator. The planned launch date for the system is subject to the publication of the relevant implementing regulation.
The introduction of the credit system further expands the scope for using renewable energy sources in transport and the tools available for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
OTE, a.s. will hold a webinar on 13 May 2026 providing a detailed explanation of the Czech legal framework and the basic operating principles of the KRES credit system within OTE's information systems. The webinar will also present the conditions for opening and maintaining an account and explain the possibilities for issuing, transferring and cancelling credits.
