Postponement of the Launch of Guarantees of Origin Auctions and the Credit System Due to the Absence of an Implementing Decree
Due to the absence of an implementing decree to Act No. 165/2012 Coll., on Supported Energy Sources, the schedule for the launch of both Guarantees of Origin auctions and the credit system within Records of Renewable Energy Use in Transport (EVOZED) has been changed.
This implementing decree is a necessary condition for the launch of both mechanisms. For this reason, it is not possible to:
- hold the first Guarantees of Origin auction on the originally planned date in July 2026;
- make the credit system, i.e. Records of Renewable Energy Use in Transport (EVOZED), available as of 1 July 2026.
Once further information on the entry into force of the implementing decree is available, which is expected during the summer months of 2026, an updated schedule for both processes will be published.
Contractual Arrangements and Test Environment
Irrespective of the above, it is already possible to:
- in the area of Guarantees of Origin auctions: conclude agreements on access to auctions with account holders in the Registry of Guarantees of Origin;
- in the area of the credit system: conclude agreements on access to Records of Renewable Energy Use in Transport (EVOZED) with entities that may, under the Act, become account holders in this register.
These agreements will enable future participation in auctions or the use of the credit system, respectively, and will also provide access to the test environment.
