<p>In connection with the amendments arising from Act No. 165/2012 Coll., on Supported Energy Sources, as part of the transposition of the RED Directive, a <strong>Credit System (KRES)</strong> will be introduced with effect from <strong>1 July 2026</strong>.<br /> The Credit System forms part of the <strong>Registry of Fulfilment of the Use of Renewable Energy Sources in Transport (EVOZED)</strong>, operated by OTE, a.s., the market operator.<br /> The planned launch date of the KRES system is subject to the issuance of the relevant implementing regulation.</p> <p>The introduction of the Credit System further expands the possibilities for the use of renewable energy sources in transport and provides additional instruments for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.</p> <p>OTE, a.s. will organise a webinar on <strong>13 May 2026</strong>, which will provide a more detailed explanation of the Czech legislative framework and the basic principles of operation of the KRES Credit System within OTE’s information systems.<br /> The webinar will also include an overview of the conditions for establishing and maintaining an account in KRES, as well as an explanation of the options for the issuance, transfer and application of credits.</p> <p>To facilitate a better understanding of the operation of the KRES system, OTE, a.s. will also offer the opportunity to test the system in <strong>a test environment from</strong> <strong>4 to 8 June 2026</strong>. We would welcome your feedback during the testing period.<br /> Details regarding the testing options will be presented during the webinar and subsequently published on the market operator’s website. <p>The Market Operator, in accordance with Decree No. 408/2015 Coll., on the Electricity Market Rules, announces that it is suspending the activity of <strong>Virtual energy s.r.o., Company ID: 05577411, EAN: 8591824247938</strong>, in its system, based on information from the Energy Regulatory Office regarding the cancellation of electricity trading license No. 141634282. According to the information from the Energy Regulatory Office, the cancellation of the above-mentioned license of Virtual energy s.r.o. becomes legally effective on May 1, 2026.</p> <p>Based on this information, electricity suppliers may, in cooperation with the customer for whom the supply of electricity by a supplier of last resort is to be initiated under the Energy Act, submit via the market operator’s information system a request for an accelerated change of supplier for the delivery points listed in the annex, no later than <strong>May 1, 2026, 24:00</strong>.</p> <p>If no accelerated change of supplier takes place for the relevant delivery points, a supplier of last resort will be assigned to these delivery points in the market operator’s information system in accordance with Section 59(4) of Decree No. 408/2015 Coll., on the Electricity Market Rules.</p> <p>The market operator acts in accordance with the applicable regulations and with the aim of minimising negative impacts on the electricity market.</p>
