In connection with the amendments arising from Act No. 165/2012 Coll., on Supported Energy Sources, as part of the transposition of the RED Directive, a Credit System (KRES) will be introduced with effect from 1 July 2026.
The Credit System forms part of the Registry of Fulfilment of the Use of Renewable Energy Sources in Transport (EVOZED), operated by OTE, a.s., the market operator.
The planned launch date of the KRES system is subject to the issuance of the relevant implementing regulation.

The introduction of the Credit System further expands the possibilities for the use of renewable energy sources in transport and provides additional instruments for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

OTE, a.s. will organise a webinar on 13 May 2026, which will provide a more detailed explanation of the Czech legislative framework and the basic principles of operation of the KRES Credit System within OTE’s information systems.
The webinar will also include an overview of the conditions for establishing and maintaining an account in KRES, as well as an explanation of the options for the issuance, transfer and application of credits.

To facilitate a better understanding of the operation of the KRES system, OTE, a.s. will also offer the opportunity to test the system in a test environment from 4 to 8 June 2026. We would welcome your feedback during the testing period.
Details regarding the testing options will be presented during the webinar and subsequently published on the market operator’s website. Please note that access to testing will be granted only to entities for which the KRES Credit System is intended by law.
