With the inclusion of the Bulgarian-Romanian border, the geographical loop has been closed and the SEE (South-East Europe) region is now fully integrated into the Single Day-Ahead Coupling. The market coupling operations for the Bulgarian-Romanian border in SDAC were successfully launched today, the 27th of October 2021 with the first delivery day on the 28th of October 2021. As of today, the day-ahead cross-zonal capacity between Romania and Bulgaria is implicitly allocated via the Euphemia algorithm.
