TSOs and NEMOs participating in the Research & Development (R&D) stream related to the Euphemia algorithm have been working on the design of a new order type to support systems that can bid to buy and sell energy within the same day – so-called storage order. This new order type will expand bidding possibilities beyond current order types. It will allow market participants to optimize storage system bidding without detailed market forecasts and without the risk of incurring losses. The expected go-live of the storage order in the SDAC market is currently planned for Q4 2027.
