24. 9. 2018 Information about login into the production environment OTE-COM gas

Important information regarding the login into the client application OTE-COM Gas in the production environment.

  • Both Launcher Manager and client version of the application OTE-COM Gas 5.0.0 is already available in production. It is possible to download it, but you will see a notification “Connection to server failed. Error: Connection timed out: connect.“ This notification is not a problem, the server will be available from 26.9. at 8 am.
  • If you would like to carry out connectivity test in AMQP, the following is necessary:
  1. Install a telnet client
  2. Launch a Command Line Interface
  3. Enter a command: telnet amqp.ote-cr.cz 5671
    - If it connects, it is indicated by a cleared (“black“) window of a Command Line Interface with a cursor at the first sign of a first line (top right).
    - If not, after a while you will see a failure notice “connection refused“ or “connection timeout“.
      In this case it is necessary to check all your settings as described in our previous emails: The correct setting of proxy server and direct access to OTE's AMQP server, the newest version of the application installed, etc.

24. 9. 2018 Information about accessibility of test environment SANDBOX OTE-COM Gas

The test version of Sandbox OTE-COM application for Gas IM is now available for download and installation from 21st September.

 
 

Manual for installation of OTE-COM Gas Launcher Manager (LM) which allows you to launch the OTE-COM Gas application is available for download here. Communication of the application goes through http/https protocol which in normal cases does not cause any trouble.


However, complications may occur if:

  • To check the use of the proxy server. In this case it is necessary in the Launcher Manager settings (clicking the button O) set the HTTP proxy and add your proxy. And also in your proxy settings allow access to http://www.ote-cr.cz and https://portal.sand.ote-cr.cz, respectively please contact your IT department and ask them about settings.
  • so it may be needed to allow direct access to server amqp.isotetest.ote-cr.cz (IP 81.19.44.81), port 5671 in your IT infrastructure.
     

The OTE-COM application manual is available directly from the application under the Help button.

For market participants who prefer automatic communication access directly to the AMQP server from the market participant server is following:

  • Communication goes thru the server amqp.isotetest.ote-cr.cz (IP 81.19.44.81), port 5671, virtualhost = marketGAS.
  • Supported TLS interface: version 1.2.

 

Updated specification of interface and message templates for automatic communication are available.

Web interface of the test OTE portal: https://portal.sand.ote-cr.cz/otemarket serves for administration of participant’s master data, access elements, total amount of financial security necessary for testing and display of settlement reports.

 

 

18. 9. 2018 Planned deployment of OTE-COM trading platform for IM Gas at night from 25.9. on 26.9.

Related to the previously announced upgrade the trading platform for the intra-day gas market and after the successful tests at the end of August and September, we would like to inform you that the planned deployment of this trading platform will take place at night from Tuesday, September 25th to Wednesday, September 26th. The intra-day gas market will be accessible only through OTE-COM application or automatic communication using AMQP protocol from Wednesday, September 26th. Please note that some of the current trading conditions are changing due to the transition to the upgraded platform - see manual.

 

The plan to move to an innovative trading platform for the intra-day gas market is as follows:

  • On Tuesday, September 25th at 9:00, trading on the Gas Delivery Day 26 September will NOT be opened in the current system.
  • Trading of the Gas Delivery Day 25 September ends on September 25th at 17:00 with Regular CS OTE system shutdown.
  • The production environment OTE-COM Gas will be launched on September 26th at 8:00, when the trading of the Gas Delivery Day 26 September will start.
  • Trading of the Gas Delivery Day 27 September will start on Wednesday, September 26th at 9:00, which corresponds to the standard opening of Gas Delivery Day trading.

 

 

Installing this Launcher Manager is a prerequisite for launching an OTE-COM application that allows access to the intra-day gas market. Another possibility to access to the intra-day gas market platform is access through automatic communication AMQP.

To successful start of trading on a new OTE-COM platform on Wednesday September 26th the following points need to be met:

  1. Launcher Manager is installed
  2. Especially in the case of corporate networks, the correct setting of proxy server and direct access to OTE's AMQP server
    • To check the use of the proxy server. In this case it is necessary in the Launcher Manager settings (clicking the button O) set the HTTP proxy and add your proxy. And also in your proxy settings allow access to http://www.ote-cr.cz and https://otecomgas.ote-cr.cz, respectively please contact your IT department and ask them about settings.
    • so it may be needed to allow direct access to server amqp.ote-cr.cz (IP 91.209.101.43), port 5671 in your IT infrastructure.
  3. Download the current version of OTE-COM in Launcher Manager (available from September 19th)
  4. Setting a non-zero VDT limit (more in the manual here + in the Risk Management manual, Chapter 9 - available as of September 26th)
  5. Opened trading on the new OTE-COM platform (from Wednesday September 26th at 8:00)

 

For market participants who prefer automatic communication access directly to the AMQP server from the market participant server is following:

  • Communication goes thru the server amqp.ote-cr.cz (IP 91.209.101.43), port 5671, virtualhost = marketGAS.
  • Supported TLS interface: version 1.2.

 

Important notice:

In case you want to set the amount of the IM limit in the production environment for the start of real trading on 26th September 2018 by OTE, please send an email to market@ote-cr.cz and specify amount of the IM limit. The requested amount may not be higher than the current free main limit. Otherwise, a zero IM limit will be set. Please send this information by 21st September 2018 at the latest.
 

 

28. 8. 2018 Information about the ongoing testing of the OTE-COM gas environment

Ongoing testing of the VDT OTE-COM application for gas market participants is scheduled by 9th September 2018.

This market participants’ testing is intended to give an end to end overview of the innovated Gas IM regarding the daily operation including, amongst others, bidding, publication of the results, market state (active/inactive), clearing and financial security.

Please be aware that the market participants’ testing is not intended to reflect future pricing or volume levels of traded commodity. All prices and volumes published during the testing as well as concluded contracts in the test environment are completely fictional and cannot be used as a reference for exchanges price or volume analyses. Testing can take place independently on OTE support; the application is completely autonomous and depends only on market participants when and how they will enter their orders.

Last week, a non-zero financial security limit for IM test environment was set to all participants.
You can find instructions for adjusting the IM limit here. This information will be part of the final OTE-COM application manual.

In case you want to set the amount of the IM limit in the production environment for the start of real trading on 26th September 2018 by OTE, please send an email to market@ote-cr.cz and specify amount of the IM limit. The requested amount may not be higher than the current free main limit. Otherwise, a zero IM limit will be set. Please send this information by 20th September 2018 at the latest.

 

 

10. 8. 2018 Information about accessibility of test environment OTE-COM

The test version of OTE-COM application is available for download and installation from 10th August.

Approximately until 20th August, IM limit will be set to zero to all participants due to OTE internal tests and therefore the entered orders will not be validated thru the Financial security.
Before the participant´s tests, the IM limit will be set up and you will be informed of this fact.

  • Supported TLS interface: version 1.2.

The same certificates which are currently used for the test environment OTE-SANDBOX is possible to use for access to testing version of OTE portal, OTE-COM application and for automatic communication. If you do not have a valid certificate for this environment, please contact us via e-mail address spot-markets@ote-cr.cz.


Any other certificate listed on our website can be used as well. If you require the use of different access certificate the public part of this certificate needs to be sent to spot-markets@ote-cr.cz with explicit request to use this certificate for tests of innovated intra-day gas market.


It will be possible to test all access options via OTE-COM application or automated communication, before the start of the testing on from 27th August to 9th September.

 

 

 

9. 8. 2018 Information from innovated IM Workshop and related documentation

Intra-day Gas Market Workshop about innovated trading platform was organized by OTE on 7th August 2018.
Market participants, as future users, were got to know about the new features of this trading platform and the impact on other parts of OTE systems.

23. 7. 2018 Information about training for market participants

Training for market participants will be held on 7. 8. 2018 (10:00 – 16:00) in form of webinar and serves for familiarization with the innovated trading platform for intra-day gas market, its functionalities and impacts on other parts of OTE system.

Presentations for the webinar will be screened in English and the word accompaniment will be in Czech.

The webinar will be run through the online join.me application (https://www.join.me/).

Test session for verification of participant’s connection to on-line application will be opened on 6. 8. 2018 between 14:00 – 15:00. Access information will be distributed not later than one hour before the beginning of the Test session.

Test version of the OTE-COM application for connectivity tests of automatic communication or installation of client application, will be available for market participants approximately from 10. 8. 2018.

 

 

 

21. 4. 2018 OTE-COM platform for Gas IM and schedule of implementation and workshop

The presentation provides a detailed overview of functionalities and parameters of the OTE-COM platform including the expected schedule for implementation and testing.

Access to the intraday gas market will be possible via an OTE-COM application installed on market participant´s side or it is possible to use own IT solution with access via automatic communication using an AMQP server. (See specification of interface published on 10. 4. 2018)

Information about availability, conditions for use of the test environment, details of testing and possible changes in schedule will be provided in advance.

Related to the already announced planned changes in intra-day gas market, OTE prepared new specification of interface and new message templates for automatic communication.

19.03.2018 Information about System Upgrade of Intraday gas market

OTE is preparing system upgrade of the Intraday gas market platform in response to the rapid development of the gas markets and trading standards on the European short-term markets, as well as in information technology. These changes are planned for September/October of this year.
